RACK INSPECTION

DURATION: 4 hours (approximately)

This course introduces participants to the inspection and maintenance for Steel Storage Racks. In the course, which refers to the racking standard, participants will gain experience and recognize the precautions are being met by all who work in and around racking systems, as specified in the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the Regulations for Industrial Establishments (R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 851).

Course outline:

  •   Conducting storage rack inspection and observation industrial storage systems;
  •   Recognizing rack damage;
  •   Procedures to report racking damage;
  •   Determining the severity of storage rack damage;
  •   Types of storage rack and design;
  •   Rack tolerance and stability;
  •   Other potential related issues around racking system;
  •   Quiz;
  •   Practical assessment ;

CERTIFICATION: Upon successful completion of the course, a wallet card and all necessary paperwork for each participant will be submitted to the employer as proof of training.
