LADDER HANDLING
Duration: 3hrs.
Designed to educate users on safe ladder practices, this course provides an interactive approach and complies with necessary regulations to reduce or eliminate ladder injuries.

- Hazard identification, assessment & control;
- OHSA Regulations –duties of workers, supervisors & employers;
- Ladder safety;
- Ladder Pitch;
- Common Hazards;
- Cutting tools – the 21 dangers & counter measures;
- Wearing PPE;
- Injury reporting as per OHSA Regs;
- Protecting fellow workers;
- Housekeeping;
- Practical hands on;
- Review & Examination;
CERTIFICATION: Upon successful completion of the course, a wallet card and all necessary paperwork for each participant will be submitted to the employer as proof of training.
REQUIREMENTS: This course requires participants to have suitable clothing (weather suited) and personal protection equipment (ie: CSA certified safety boots, safety glasses) for the practical portion of the course.
