DEFENSIVE DRIVING

DURATION: 6 hours.

This program will address the importance of attitude in preventing accidents and reinforce the good driving skills. This course is available, in a classroom setting and defensive driving techniques are presented with the aid of various audio-visual devices. Teach you how to become a better and safer driver.

This course is designed to involve participants in group discussions of common driving problems that are encountered by drivers each day. At the end of this course a driver will improve their on-road knowledge and learn defensive driving techniques.

Course outline:

  •   Safe driving procedures;
  •   Railroad crossings, pedestrian courtesy & safety;
  •   Vehicle condition and maintenance;
  •   Seat belt safety;
  •   Road condition and winter driving;
  •   Dangers of driving;
  •   Sharing the road;

  •   Road rage and how to prevent it;
  •   Drinking and driving;
  •   Intersection approach;
  •   What to do in case of an accident;
  •   Distracted driving;
  •   Review and examination.

CERTIFICATION: Upon successful completion of the course, a wallet card and all necessary paperwork for each participant will be submitted to the employer as proof of training.
