SAFETY TRAINING COURSES

SURFACE MINE COMMON CORE

DURATION: 16 hours (approximately)

The following course provides participants with the mandatory knowledge in working safely in the work site as well as Lock-out, tag-out and the safe handling of power tools prior to entering a pit, quarry or excavation site.

Course outline:

  •   Safe work practices;
  •   Lock-out, tag-out procedures;
  •   Safe Operation of hand power tools;
  •   Review and Examination

CERTIFICATION: Upon successful completion of the course, a wallet card and all necessary paperwork for each participant will be submitted to the employer as proof of training.

REQUIREMENTS: This course requires participants to have suitable clothing (weather suited) and personal protection equipment (ie: CSA certified safety boots, safety glasses) for the practical portion of the course.
