SAFETY TRAINING COURSES
SCAFFOLD CONSTRUCTION

DURATION: 8 hrs.

The scaffold training course is designed to teach participants how to safely erect and disassemble work platforms (scaffolds). This course complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and its regulations for Construction Projects 213/91.Reg 131, and is strongly recommended for all workers in the construction industry, especially for those in charge of workers involved in assembling and dismantling scaffolds.

Course outline:

  •   Hazard Controls & Legal Requirements;
  •   Personal Protection Equipment (PPE);*
  •   Design, construction & use of equipment;
  •   Best Pratices;
  •   Care & Maintenance;
  •   Theory Exam & Practical Evaluation.

CERTIFICATION: Upon successful completion of the course, a wallet card and all necessary paperwork for each participant will be submitted to the employer as proof of training.

REQUIREMENTS: This course requires participants to have suitable clothing (weather suited) and personal protection equipment (ie: CSA certified safety boots, safety glasses) for the practical portion of the course.

* NOTE: Working at Heights training and certification is enforced by the Ministry of Labouris and is required by individuals working on construction projects where there is a fall hazard. Working at Heights is separate training course. Click here for details.
